Halloween Card

Here is a card that I did yesterday. I used TAC (The Angel Company) papers and Close To My Heart stamps. Those stamps are so much fun to use. I havent used many clear stamps and some that I have bought really didnt work all that great, but these are awesome.

Added some black ribbon to the side of the card and just under the image. I colored with Prismacolor markers. Although, I could of just left it uncolored, but wasnt sure.

Finished size of card is 6x6. I included the sketch which I followed. You can find lots of sketches at Splitcoast Stampers. Hope you can create something fun with this.

New Fall Card

I did this fall theme card for a sketch challenge. I thought it would be a good time to do something fallish...is that a word? Probably not, but oh well.

Image is from TAC. Pattern paper is some that I got from Michaels a year ago...it was a fall slab. I used some leaf brads at each corner. Colored with Prismacolor markers. To finish it off I added a felt flower with a brad in the middle.

Finished size is 6 x 6

I hope to have more cards done tomorrow. I am way behind on my sketch challenges.

Hope all is well with everyone. Until next time...tata

Busy, busy

Well, we were off camping this weekend and had a great time.

My mom will be celebrating her birthday this coming Wednesday. So, we packed up the camper and went back for the weekend. Took mom out to dinner to a place where her and my dad use to go every Friday night. It was my oldest son's idea to take her there. He went there all the time starting at two weeks old. My dad use to take him around and show him off to all their friends. When my parents moved to Florida, I don't think they went there much. My dad passed away about 6 1/2 years ago.

My mom remarried and they live part time in the Quad Cities and the other time in Florida. So, we thought it would be cool to take her to the restaurant that her and my dad lived at every Friday night. I bought her favorite cake...white cake with white frosting and took it to the restaurant with us and our server cut the cake and served it when we were ready.

We invited Kevin's (hubby) parents and his sister to come also. I think having all of us there made moms birthday celebration a bit better.

For those who don't know, my mom is in the early stages of Alzheimer's and we never know from one day to the next when she wont remember us anymore. My boys grumble when they hear we are going camping and celebrating Grandmas birthday, but I tell them too bad. They need to enjoy the time with her while she still remembers them. I got a great picture of my boys with my mom and Raymond. That's the only time my boy cooperate and let me take their picture...teenagers ya know. So it was a good weekend.

This card that I have for you tonight is one that I did for a swap. All stamps are Pink Cat Studio

I colored with Prismacolor markers of course. Other than that, its a pretty basic card. I will try to get a few more cards posted and I need to take pictures of a few more coaster boxes that Ive done.

Until then..enjoy and see you next time.

Been Too Busy

Man, I have not stopped working on projects for our upcoming sale at the church. I worked all day today on more coaster boxes. I'm not sure how many I should make, so I guess I will just keep plugging away at them.

I had a hard time taking a photo of this with my digital camera for some reason. Every picture I took was blurry, so I scanned it in. Not sure if you can see or not, but I put stickles on the cake. Everything is colored with Prismacolor markers. The little round sentiment at the top is something I downloaded off the internet. I cant even remember where I got it. Someone made these and then posted to one of the yahoo groups or a message board that I go to...wish I could remember.

Anyway, enjoy....I so love these little guys. I see they have new ones out now, so hopefully I can find some new Hoppers to create with.

Tomorrow I will take some pictures of all the boxes that I have gotten done so far.

Until next time...tata

Tent Topper Card

Ive never done one of these before so when a swap came up on my yahoo group, I thought it looked really fun.

The image and papers are Stampin Up, Sentiment is TAC, I used stickles on the cake. I used my Big Shot to die cut the pink foam flowers and I used my Sizzix die cut machine to cut the long border of flowers. I have only one of those borders and I really like it. Gonna have to get some more when I find them on sale.

I scanned this card in so the colors may look a bit strange...the flower border is green..just a shade darker than that of the card base.

On a totally different subject, I watched "American History X" on Thursday night. All I can say is "WOW" It shows you how hatred can be so destructive in your life. This movie is rated "R" and I strongly urge 17 and up. There are some raw scenes in the movie. The movie is all about this family where the father and one son are racist..the younger son worships his older brother and starts to take on what his brother believes. Without giving too much away, its a powerful movie. Really makes you think.

Ok, thats it for me tonight...I accomplished a lot today. Got three swaps done and managed to clean out some of my junk.

Until next time..tata

Cute Gift Bag

Thought I would show you this cute snowman bag that I made. I'm making these for my church stamp sale coming up in November. This time of the year makes me nuts as I try to get all of this stuff done for our sale.

The snowman gift bag is not my original idea...we did this bag at a SU workshop that I went to..but it didn't look anything like this. I tweaked to its cuteness...lol

I also added a tag at the top with "to and from" on it.

Ive been working on a couple of other things and I have a Happy Hopper card done, but need to take a picture of it yet. It was another new one that I scored at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago.

Until next time.....

Cute Little Happy Hopper

Here are some of the cards I did with my Happy Hoppers score from Hobby Lobby...these little guys are so cute. I cant believe I found this one at Hobby Lobby that day. Sometimes you find ones you dont have and other times, they are picked clean. Im always excited when I score on these little guys. The cards are pretty simple...pattern papers and cardstock. The sentiment "Baby" is one that I got the same day I got the Happy Hoppers at Hobby Lobby. I did a card in green, blue, yellow and pink. I did add buttons and flowers on them also. Enjoy and see ya next time.....tata

Kenny...oh la la

Well, the concert was awesome as I knew it would be. Pat Greene started us out followed by Sugarland, which totally rocked, and then the man himself, Kenny. I'm so funny about Kenny that Kevin (hubby) just laughs at me. While we were waiting to get into the parking lot, I yelled "I'm comin Kenny" HAHA Well, maybe you had to be there...I don't know...but it sure was funny.

After the concert it took us 1-1/2 hours just to get out of the parking lot. I don't know who is in charge at this place, but they don't do a very good job of it. NO ONE was directing traffic out of the parking lot. People were getting ticked and just started cutting in front of you, just to get out. It was nuts. So, I made it home about 1:30 this morning. What a night though. So, of course I took a picture...this is the best that it gets. I was way back on the lawn and I didn't get where I wanted to on the lawn, which kinda stunk. There were so many people at this concert, it was nuts.

Ok, on to my card for today. This is a House Mouse stamp that I got at Hobby Lobby. I used stickles on the frosting. Colored with Prisma color pencils. Paper is some that came in one of my monthly scrapbook clubs. Added some ribbon and two flowers with a brad at the bottom. Sentiment is a stamp from Hobby Lobby. I have lots more to show you...but that's all you get for today....Im sooo bad...lol

Until next time....tata....

Awesome Day Today

Well, today is the day that Im going to the Kenny Chesney concert. I cant wait. Along with Kenny we are seeing Sugarland and Pat Greene. I have been looking forward to this day for months. Concert starts at 7:00 and the doors open at 5:00. Told hubby we HAVE to be there by 5:00 cause I know exactly where I wanna sit on that lawn..lol. I got the lawn tickets since they were way less expensive. Basically I got two tickets for the price of one by sitting in the lawn. Ive gone to a concert there before (Montly Crue and Aerosmith) and it was fine. Of course if it rained..not good. Good thing its not suppose to rain today.

Anyway, here is another Bella I did for a swap. I paper pieced her dress. Some of the coloring is done with SU markers and Prismamarkers.

I dont know why I dont do more paper piecing on my images...I like the look. Oh well, enjoy and I will try to give you something new tomorrow.

Tata everyone.....

Bella Atc

Here is a Bella I did for an atc swap that I'm in. Sorry if you are in that same swap with me :)

I paper pieced her dress and added stickles to her diamond bling. Found some ribbon in my stash that matched and used two flowers with a brad.

I colored her with Prismacolor markers. I think though that on her actual diamond, I might of SU marker since I didn't have the color I wanted in the Prismacolor markers. I also stippled around the tag with a blue/green ink pad.

Hopefully I will be able to create some new art tomorrow...I did something to my back so not sure I'm gonna be able to sit at my table that long, but we will see.

Until next time....tata...

I was productive today

Well, I got two atc swaps done that I'm in and I managed to do a new Happy Hopper card to show you all. This stamp is too cute. I love it! Its one of the stamps that I scored at Hobby Lobby. I was surprised to see some Happy Hoppers that I didn't have. Usually when I go in there, they have the same stamps I already have, so I was excited.

The picture doesn't look at clear as it should. I took it with my digital camera, so who knows. I colored my image with Prismacolor markers. The sentiment "thank you" is Stampin UP and then I added two felt flowers that I got in a kit. Oh, I put the Happy Hopper image and the sentiment on pop dots to give it some dimension. That's it..pretty easy.

Tomorrow I will post the atc's that I got done today..they are Bella atc's and turned out pretty cute. Now to get them sent off.

A skunk decided to spray himself or herself by my house tonight and now it really smells BAD in here. Why must they do that? I hope this smell goes away soon. Ive sprayed air freshener in here, but it didn't really work. Didn't think it would anyway.

Oh, if you would like to see the boy scrapbook I finished for the lady at my church, you can go here....

See you next time.....

I got nothin today

Gasp!!! I know, its shocking, but I got nothin. I worked five hours yesterday getting a scrapbook done for one of the ladies in my book group at my church. I did take pictures of the pages this morning before I delivered it, but I don't have them uploaded yet. I promise I will get to that tomorrow. I'm stuck at my house waiting for a delivery to come that I need to sign.

I scored again at Hobby Lobby yesterday when I was there. I got three or four new Happy Hoppers and one House Mouse that I didn't have that was too cute to pass up. I plan on creating some cards from those little guys tomorrow. So be on the lookout!

Today was a catch up day on laundry, house cleaning, and GH (General Hospital) I love, love, love this soap and have been watching it for years. I record it every day and I always manage to get way behind so have to have a GH marathon. So, I'm caught up with things around here now.

Well, that's it for today..stay tuned for those Happy Hoppers......

Busy Day

Today was a very busy day for me. I lounged around this morning until 12:00 before I got in the shower...lazy morning, what can I say? Hubby and I took our youngest to see "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" it was pretty funny..I wasn't sure about it at first, but I liked it.

I came home and have been working on projects for my church's stamp sale coming in November. I have been making gift cards, coaster boxes, gift bags that are stamped and decorated, cards, and if I have time, I will make some domino trivets.

About 7:00 tonight I got a call from one of the ladies in my book group at church wanting to know if I could make her another scrapbook. I told her I would be able to do another one for her and she told me the person its for is leaving to go back to Florida on Friday....Im thinking "Ok, I can get this done by Thursday, no problem" Then she tells me she is having some surgery on Wednesday so she wasnt sure if she could pick the album up or meet me somewhere that day. So, now, if all possible, Im gonna try my hardest to get this done by Tuesday......Im thinking Im insane at the moment...LOL Tomorrow will be one long day. I plan on getting it done by the time I go to bed tomorrow night. I have never done a scrapbook in one day, so keep your fingers crossed.

Ok, now on to my card that I promised you yesterday.....I colored my images with Prismacolor markers and tried to match the colors the best I could with the pattern paper that I used. I found this paper in my stash. Ive been trying to use up these scraps before I cut another piece of full paper. I added some brown ribbon at the bottom and stamped "friend" above it. The "friend" sentiment is a clear stamp that came with one of my scrapbook kits that I use to get each month.

Guess thats it for now..I still gotta check my email yet before I go to bed...tata for now

Only One For Tonight

Well, I have a few new cards, but I cant show you three of them...lol. I sent them in for a chance to be on the Design Team for Cornish Heritage Farms

So keep your fingers crossed. Ive never done this before, so thought I would give it a shot.

Anyway, here is a card I did the other night. Its another Bella cutie. I believe the size on this card is 6x6. I had the floral background paper in my stash of scraps. I colored my Bella with Prismacolor markers. The sentiment "Happy Birthday to You" is something I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I added a piece of white sheer ribbon to the bottom and some flowers at the top.

I have a Rubber Romance card all ready to load onto my computer from my camera, so I will hopefully get that done tonight and then tomorrow I will have another new card to show you. All this card making these days..ha. I might find some time one of these days to do some scrapbooking, which I'm so far behind on. I think I have over 200 pictures that need to be scrapbooked. Seems when I get some free time, what do I do? I clean, do laundry, lay out at the pool...everything but scrapbook. Oh well, at least I get some new cards done.

Until I see you again...tata.....

Shame On Me

Shame on me telling you I would give you another card last night. I was just too tired.

This card uses Pink Cat Studio images. I designed the card from a sketch. I am really loving sketches these days. I have printed out tons to go into my sketch binder. I cant believe I haven't used these sketches in the past.

Cardstock is Basic Grey and Club Scrap. The purple is Club Scrap. The green cardstock is just some that I had in my scraps stash. I colored my flowers with Prismacolor markers and then added diamond stickles to the flowers. Pretty basic in design. If you ever have any questions as to how I did something, just ask. I will be glad to give you more information if you need it.

Hopefully I will get another card posted tonight.

Tata for now......
